how long shall i stay in this fallen place?
i need someone to save me
to pull me out of this dark room
where sadness, confusion, emptiness
seem to fill my heart
i need someone to call me back
…someone to show me grace
when i’ve drifted away from the light
when tears begin to fall,
someone to catch me and lift me up
it is you
my savior and friend
you cover me with wings of mercy
it is you that i long for
no other love but yours
can fill this empty space
help me find the way
to turn from these temporary things
and look to you beyond grey skies
when love seems lost
i run to you
i give all I am to you
for you alone
can quiet my heart
to listen to your voice
that brings color to my life
playing life like music
